The Phospho-PIK3R1/PIK3R2/PIK3R3 (Y467) Antibody (CABP0427) is a highly specific tool for researchers investigating the phosphorylation status of the PI3K regulatory subunits PIK3R1, PIK3R2, and PIK3R3. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is optimized for detection in human samples and is suitable for Western blot applications. By targeting the phosphorylation site at tyrosine 467, this antibody allows for precise analysis of PI3K signaling in various cell types. The PI3K pathway is a key regulator of cell growth, survival, and metabolism, with dysregulation of this pathway implicated in numerous diseases including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders.
Phosphorylation of the regulatory subunits PIK3R1, PIK3R2, and PIK3R3 at tyrosine 467 is known to enhance PI3K activity, suggesting a role in driving pathological cellular processes.By using the Phospho-PIK3R1/PIK3R2/PIK3R3 (Y467) Antibody (CABP0427), researchers can gain valuable insights into the activation status of PI3K signaling, facilitating the development of targeted therapies for diseases where dysregulated PI3K signaling plays a role. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cancer biology, metabolic disorders,
cell-cell junction, cis-Golgi network, cytoplasm, cytosol, nucleus, perinuclear region of cytoplasm, plasma membrane

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase phosphorylates the inositol ring of phosphatidylinositol at the 3-prime position. The enzyme comprises a 110 kD catalytic subunit and a regulatory subunit of either 85, 55, or 50 kD. This gene encodes the 85 kD regulatory subunit. Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase plays an important role in the metabolic actions of insulin, and a mutation in this gene has been associated with insulin resistance. Alternative splicing of this gene results in four transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
