The Phospho-NRF2 (S40) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP1167) is specifically designed for research involving the NRF2 protein, a key regulator of antioxidant response element (ARE)-mediated gene expression. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in various applications including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.NRF2 is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress and inflammation by regulating the expression of antioxidant and detoxifying genes. Phosphorylation of NRF2 at serine 40 is known to enhance its stability and transcriptional activity, making it an important post-translational modification for NRF2 function.
This antibody binds specifically to the phosphorylated form of NRF2 at serine 40, allowing for the detection and analysis of NRF2 activation in various cell types and tissues. Its application in studies related to oxidative stress, inflammation, and diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders makes it an invaluable tool for researchers interested in the NRF2 signaling pathway and its potential therapeutic implications.

This gene encodes a transcription factor which is a member of a small family of basic leucine zipper (bZIP) proteins. The encoded transcription factor regulates genes which contain antioxidant response elements (ARE) in their promoters; many of these genes encode proteins involved in response to injury and inflammation which includes the production of free radicals. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized for this gene.
