The Phospho-NFKB1 (S927) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0264) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of NFKB1, a key protein involved in regulating inflammatory responses and immune functions. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity specifically with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the phosphorylated form of NFKB1 at serine 927, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of NFKB1 activation in various cell types, making it ideal for research in immunology, inflammation, and cancer biology.NFKB1, a subunit of the NF-kappa-B transcription factor complex, plays a crucial role in controlling the expression of genes involved in immune response, inflammation, and cell survival.
Phosphorylation of NFKB1 at serine 927 is known to regulate its activity and influence downstream signaling pathways. Understanding the phosphorylation status of NFKB1 can provide insights into the mechanisms underlying inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, and cancer progression. This antibody offers researchers a powerful tool to investigate the signaling pathways involving phosphorylated NFKB1 and to advance our knowledge of immune regulation and disease pathogenesis.

This gene encodes a 105 kD protein which can undergo cotranslational processing by the 26S proteasome to produce a 50 kD protein. The 105 kD protein is a Rel protein-specific transcription inhibitor and the 50 kD protein is a DNA binding subunit of the NF-kappa-B (NFKB) protein complex. NFKB is a transcription regulator that is activated by various intra- and extra-cellular stimuli such as cytokines, oxidant-free radicals, ultraviolet irradiation, and bacterial or viral products. Activated NFKB translocates into the nucleus and stimulates the expression of genes involved in a wide variety of biological functions. Inappropriate activation of NFKB has been associated with a number of inflammatory diseases while persistent inhibition of NFKB leads to inappropriate immune cell development or delayed cell growth. NFKB is a critical regulator of the immediate-early response to viral infection. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, at least one of which is proteolytically processed.
