The Phospho-NF-kB p65 (RELA) [S536] Monoclonal Antibody from Assay Genie (SKU: AG242) is specifically designed for research involving the phosphorylation of NF-kB p65 (RELA) at serine 536. NF-kB is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating the expression of genes involved in immune responses, inflammation, cell proliferation, and survival. Phosphorylation of NF-kB p65 at serine 536 is known to activate its transcriptional activity and is implicated in various disease states, including cancer, inflammatory disorders, and autoimmune diseases. This monoclonal antibody, raised in mice, is highly specific for the phosphorylated form of NF-kB p65 (RELA) at serine 536 and demonstrates high sensitivity and specificity in Western blot applications.
It allows for the detection and analysis of phosphorylated NF-kB p65 (RELA) in various cell types and tissues, making it an ideal tool for studies in immunology, cancer research, and inflammatory diseases.Understanding the regulation of NF-kB activity and the role of phosphorylation in modulating its function is essential for elucidating the mechanisms underlying immune responses and inflammation. The Phospho-NF-kB p65 (RELA) [S536] Monoclonal Antibody from Assay Genie provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating these processes and developing novel therapeutic strategies targeting NF-kB

NF-kappa-B is a ubiquitous transcription factor involved in several biological processes. It is held in the cytoplasm in an inactive state by specific inhibitors. Upon degradation of the inhibitor, NF-kappa-B moves to the nucleus and activates transcription of specific genes. NF-kappa-B is composed of NFKB1 or NFKB2 bound to either REL, RELA, or RELB. The most abundant form of NF-kappa-B is NFKB1 complexed with the product of this gene, RELA. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
