The Phospho-MAPT (S404) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0170) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MAPT (microtubule-associated protein tau), a key protein in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It specifically binds to the phosphorylated form of MAPT at serine 404, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types.MAPT is involved in the stabilization of microtubules in neurons, and abnormal phosphorylation of this protein has been linked to neurodegenerative disorders.
The Phospho-MAPT (S404) antibody enables researchers to investigate the role of MAPT phosphorylation in disease pathology, making it a valuable tool for studies in neurology and Alzheimer's research.By understanding the mechanisms underlying MAPT phosphorylation and its impact on neuronal function, researchers can gain insights into the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for treatment. The Phospho-MAPT (S404) Polyclonal Antibody is a crucial tool for unraveling the complexities of MAPT biology and its implications in neurodegenerative disorders.
Product Name:
Phospho-Tau-S404 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

CABP0170
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic phosphorylated peptide around S404 of human Tau (NP_005901.2).
This gene encodes the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) whose transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
