The Phospho-MAP2K3 (S189) / MAP2K6 (S207) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0066) is a versatile tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of MAP2K3 and MAP2K6 proteins. These proteins are key regulators of the MAP kinase signaling pathway, which plays an essential role in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. The antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.By specifically binding to phosphorylated MAP2K3 and MAP2K6 proteins, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of their activation status in various cell types.
This makes it ideal for investigations in cell signaling, cancer biology, and drug development. Understanding the phosphorylation of MAP2K3 and MAP2K6 is crucial for unraveling the complex regulatory mechanisms of the MAP kinase pathway and may lead to new therapeutic strategies targeting cancer and other diseases influenced by dysregulated cell signaling pathways.

The protein encoded by this gene is a dual specificity protein kinase that belongs to the MAP kinase kinase family. This kinase is activated by mitogenic and environmental stress, and participates in the MAP kinase-mediated signaling cascade. It phosphorylates and thus activates MAPK14/p38-MAPK. This kinase can be activated by insulin, and is necessary for the expression of glucose transporter. Expression of RAS oncogene is found to result in the accumulation of the active form of this kinase, which thus leads to the constitutive activation of MAPK14, and confers oncogenic transformation of primary cells. The inhibition of this kinase is involved in the pathogenesis of Yersina pseudotuberculosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode distinct isoforms have been reported for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
