The Phospho-Lck (Y505) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0285) is a valuable tool for researchers studying protein tyrosine kinases involved in T cell signaling pathways. This antibody, raised in rabbits, specifically recognizes phosphorylation at tyrosine 505 of the Lck protein.Lck is a critical regulator of T cell activation and function, with phosphorylation at Y505 known to influence its activity and downstream signaling cascades. By targeting this phosphorylation site, the CABP0285 antibody allows for the detection and analysis of activated Lck in cell lysates, serum samples, and other biological fluids.
This antibody is suitable for use in Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and other protein detection techniques, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying T cell signaling events. By understanding the role of phosphorylated Lck in immune responses, researchers can gain insights into diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases, paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting T cell function.

This gene is a member of the Src family of protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs). The encoded protein is a key signaling molecule in the selection and maturation of developing T-cells. It contains N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitylation, a PTK domain, and SH2 and SH3 domains which are involved in mediating protein-protein interactions with phosphotyrosine-containing and proline-rich motifs, respectively. The protein localizes to the plasma membrane and pericentrosomal vesicles, and binds to cell surface receptors, including CD4 and CD8, and other signaling molecules. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
