The FLT3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12437) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the FLT3 protein, which is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.FLT3 is known to play a key role in hematopoiesis and is commonly mutated in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, making it a significant target for cancer research. By targeting the FLT3 protein, researchers can gain insight into the mechanisms of leukemia development and potentially identify new therapeutic strategies for AML treatment.
In addition to its relevance in cancer research, studying the FLT3 protein can also provide valuable information on normal hematopoiesis and immune cell development. The FLT3 Polyclonal Antibody enables the detection and analysis of FLT3 expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for immunology and oncology research.

This gene encodes a class III receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates hematopoiesis. This receptor is activated by binding of the fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand to the extracellular domain, which induces homodimer formation in the plasma membrane leading to autophosphorylation of the receptor. The activated receptor kinase subsequently phosphorylates and activates multiple cytoplasmic effector molecules in pathways involved in apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells in bone marrow. Mutations that result in the constitutive activation of this receptor result in acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
