The Phospho-Estrogen Receptor (S106) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0347) is a valuable tool for researchers studying estrogen receptor signaling pathways. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. The Phospho-Estrogen Receptor (S106) antibody specifically binds to the phosphorylated form of the estrogen receptor at serine 106, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types. This targeted approach enables researchers to investigate the role of phosphorylated estrogen receptor in cell signaling, gene expression, and other biological processes.
Given the importance of estrogen receptor signaling in various physiological processes and diseases, including breast cancer and reproductive health, understanding the role of phosphorylated estrogen receptor at serine 106 is critical. This antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to explore the intricate mechanisms of estrogen receptor activation and modulation, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of hormone-related diseases and potential therapeutic targets.

This gene encodes an estrogen receptor and ligand-activated transcription factor. The canonical protein contains an N-terminal ligand-independent transactivation domain, a central DNA binding domain, a hinge domain, and a C-terminal ligand-dependent transactivation domain. The protein localizes to the nucleus where it may form either a homodimer or a heterodimer with estrogen receptor 2. The protein encoded by this gene regulates the transcription of many estrogen-inducible genes that play a role in growth, metabolism, sexual development, gestation, and other reproductive functions and is expressed in many non-reproductive tissues. The receptor encoded by this gene plays a key role in breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and osteoporosis. This gene is reported to have dozens of transcript variants due to the use of alternate promoters and alternative splicing, however, the full-length nature of many of these variants remain uncertain.
