The Phospho-ERBB3 (Y1328) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0277) is specifically designed for research involving the phosphorylated form of ERBB3, a member of the ERBB receptor tyrosine kinase family. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.ERBB3 (epidermal growth factor receptor 3) is a key player in cell growth and differentiation, functioning as a receptor for neuregulins. Phosphorylation of ERBB3 at tyrosine 1328 is known to activate downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival. This antibody specifically targets the phosphorylated form of ERBB3 at tyrosine 1328, allowing for its detection and analysis in various cell types.
Its application in research on signaling pathways related to cell growth and survival makes it an ideal tool for studies in cancer biology, drug development, and personalized medicine.Understanding the role of phosphorylated ERBB3 in cancer progression and therapeutic resistance is crucial for the development of targeted therapies that can effectively treat and manage various forms of cancer. The Phospho-ERBB3 (Y1328) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0277) provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the complex mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression.

This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This membrane-bound protein has a neuregulin binding domain but not an active kinase domain. It therefore can bind this ligand but not convey the signal into the cell through protein phosphorylation. However, it does form heterodimers with other EGF receptor family members which do have kinase activity. Heterodimerization leads to the activation of pathways which lead to cell proliferation or differentiation. Amplification of this gene and/or overexpression of its protein have been reported in numerous cancers, including prostate, bladder, and breast tumors. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized. One isoform lacks the intermembrane region and is secreted outside the cell. This form acts to modulate the activity of the membrane-bound form. Additional splice variants have also been reported, but they have not been thoroughly characterized.
