The Phospho-ERBB2 (Y1139) Antibody (CABP1285) is a specialized antibody designed for research involving Phospho-ERBB2, a key protein involved in cell growth and survival. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications for the detection and analysis of Phospho-ERBB2 protein in various cell types.Phospho-ERBB2, also known as HER2 or ERBB2, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in cell signaling pathways associated with cell proliferation and survival.
Abnormalities in Phospho-ERBB2 expression have been linked to cancer development and progression, making it a significant target for research in oncology and drug development.Understanding the activity and regulation of Phospho-ERBB2 is essential for furthering our knowledge of cancer biology and developing targeted therapies for ERBB2-positive cancers. The Phospho-ERBB2 (Y1139) Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for studying the function and signaling of this important protein in various research contexts.

This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This protein has no ligand binding domain of its own and therefore cannot bind growth factors. However, it does bind tightly to other ligand-bound EGF receptor family members to form a heterodimer, stabilizing ligand binding and enhancing kinase-mediated activation of downstream signalling pathways, such as those involving mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase. Allelic variations at amino acid positions 654 and 655 of isoform a (positions 624 and 625 of isoform b) have been reported, with the most common allele, Ile654/Ile655, shown here. Amplification and/or overexpression of this gene has been reported in numerous cancers, including breast and ovarian tumors. Alternative splicing results in several additional transcript variants, some encoding different isoforms and others that have not been fully characterized.
