The Phospho-Elk1 (S383) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0033) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Elk1, a transcription factor involved in cellular signaling pathways. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. It detects phosphorylation of Elk1 at serine 383, allowing for the investigation of Elk1 activation in response to various stimuli.Elk1 is known to regulate gene expression in response to growth factors and stress signals, making it a key player in cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Phosphorylation of Elk1 at serine 383 has been linked to its transcriptional activity, suggesting a role in specific downstream signaling events.
Researchers studying cell signaling pathways, gene regulation, and cellular responses to stimuli will benefit from the use of this antibody in their experiments.By targeting the phosphorylation site of Elk1 at serine 383, this antibody enables precise detection and quantification of Elk1 activation, providing insights into the mechanisms underlying Elk1-mediated cellular processes. Its reliability and specificity make it an essential tool for studies in cell biology, signal transduction, and disease pathways related to Elk1 dysregulation.

This gene is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors and of the ternary complex factor (TCF) subfamily. Proteins of the TCF subfamily form a ternary complex by binding to the the serum response factor and the serum response element in the promoter of the c-fos proto-oncogene. The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear target for the ras-raf-MAPK signaling cascade. This gene produces multiple isoforms by using alternative translational start codons and by alternative splicing. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 7 and 14.
