The Phospho-eIF4EBP1 (T45) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0219) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of eIF4EBP1 at threonine 45, a key regulator of protein translation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.eIF4EBP1 is a critical player in the regulation of mRNA translation and protein synthesis, and phosphorylation at threonine 45 has been linked to its activity in controlling cell growth and proliferation. By targeting this specific phosphorylation site, researchers can gain insights into the cellular pathways involved in protein synthesis and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for diseases such as cancer and metabolic disorders.
With its ability to detect and quantify phospho-eIF4EBP1 (T45) in various cell types, this antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cell signaling, cancer biology, and metabolic regulation. By understanding the role of eIF4EBP1 phosphorylation in these processes, researchers can advance our knowledge of cellular function and potentially develop new strategies for treating diseases characterized by dysregulated protein synthesis.

This gene encodes one member of a family of translation repressor proteins. The protein directly interacts with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which is a limiting component of the multisubunit complex that recruits 40S ribosomal subunits to the 5' end of mRNAs. Interaction of this protein with eIF4E inhibits complex assembly and represses translation. This protein is phosphorylated in response to various signals including UV irradiation and insulin signaling, resulting in its dissociation from eIF4E and activation of mRNA translation.
