The Phospho-Cyclin D1 (T286) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (CABP1061) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Cyclin D1, a key regulator of cell cycle progression. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is specifically designed to target the phosphorylated threonine 286 residue of Cyclin D1 in human samples. It has been validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of Cyclin D1 in various cell types.Cyclin D1 is a critical protein involved in promoting cell cycle progression and is known to be dysregulated in many types of cancer. The phosphorylation of threonine 286 of Cyclin D1 is crucial for its activity and stability, making this antibody an important tool for researchers studying the role of Cyclin D1 in cancer development and progression.
By accurately detecting and measuring the phosphorylation of Cyclin D1 at threonine 286, this antibody can provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer growth and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. Researchers in the fields of oncology and cell biology will find this antibody to be a valuable asset in their studies of Cyclin D1 and its role in cancer biology.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance throughout the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK4 or CDK6, whose activity is required for cell cycle G1/S transition. This protein has been shown to interact with tumor suppressor protein Rb and the expression of this gene is regulated positively by Rb. Mutations, amplification and overexpression of this gene, which alters cell cycle progression, are observed frequently in a variety of human cancers.
