The CTBP1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers investigating the function of CTBP1, a protein involved in gene regulation and tumor development. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically targets the CTBP1 protein and is highly reactive in human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of CTBP1 in a variety of cell types.CTBP1, also known as C-terminal binding protein 1, is a transcriptional corepressor that plays a key role in regulating gene expression and controlling cell proliferation.
Aberrant expression of CTBP1 has been implicated in various cancers, making it a promising target for cancer research. By using the CTBP1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the function of CTBP1 and its role in tumorigenesis, leading to potential therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 301-440 of human CtBP1 (Q13363).
This gene encodes a protein that binds to the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A proteins. This phosphoprotein is a transcriptional repressor and may play a role during cellular proliferation. This protein and the product of a second closely related gene, CTBP2, can dimerize. Both proteins can also interact with a polycomb group protein complex which participates in regulation of gene expression during development. Alternative splicing of transcripts from this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
