The Phospho-CHK1 (S280) Monoclonal Antibody (CABP1444) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CHK1 protein, a key regulator of cell cycle checkpoints and DNA damage response. This antibody, produced using advanced monoclonal antibody technology, specifically targets the phosphorylated form of CHK1 at Serine 280, a critical site for its activation and function.CHK1 is a crucial protein involved in maintaining genomic stability and promoting cell survival under stress conditions. Phosphorylation at Serine 280 is known to be a key regulatory event that affects CHK1 activity and its role in cell cycle regulation.
The Phospho-CHK1 (S280) Monoclonal Antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze the phosphorylation status of CHK1 in various experimental settings, such as Western blotting and immunofluorescence assays.By targeting the phosphorylated form of CHK1 at Serine 280, researchers can gain insight into the activation status of CHK1 and its involvement in cell cycle control, DNA repair, and response to DNA damage. This antibody is a valuable tool for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying CHK1 function and its potential as a target for cancer therapy and other diseases related to genomic instability.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage or the presence of unreplicated DNA. This protein acts to integrate signals from ATM and ATR, two cell cycle proteins involved in DNA damage responses, that also associate with chromatin in meiotic prophase I. Phosphorylation of CDC25A protein phosphatase by this protein is required for cells to delay cell cycle progression in response to double-strand DNA breaks. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
