The Phospho-BRD4 (S1083) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP1235) is specifically designed for research involving BRD4, a key protein involved in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.BRD4 plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation, particularly in the context of cancer and other diseases. Phosphorylation of BRD4 at Serine 1083 has been linked to its function in controlling cell growth and proliferation.
The Phospho-BRD4 (S1083) antibody enables specific detection and analysis of this post-translational modification, providing valuable insights into the role of BRD4 in various biological processes. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Phospho-BRD4 (S1083) antibody is a valuable tool for researchers working in the fields of cancer biology, epigenetics, and cellular signaling. By understanding the phosphorylation status of BRD4, researchers can uncover new therapeutic targets and potential treatment strategies for cancer and other diseases.

A synthetic phosphorylated peptide around S1083 of human BRD4 (NP_490597.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is homologous to the murine protein MCAP, which associates with chromosomes during mitosis, and to the human RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. Each of these proteins contains two bromodomains, a conserved sequence motif which may be involved in chromatin targeting. This gene has been implicated as the chromosome 19 target of translocation t(15;19)(q13;p13.1), which defines an upper respiratory tract carcinoma in young people. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
