The Phospho-Bcl2L1 (S62) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0314) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of Bcl2L1, a critical regulator of apoptosis and cell survival. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of Bcl2L1 at serine 62 in human samples, making it an ideal choice for Western blotting applications.Bcl2L1, also known as Bcl-XL, is a member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins that play a key role in regulating the intrinsic apoptotic pathway. Phosphorylation of Bcl2L1 at serine 62 has been implicated in the modulation of its anti-apoptotic function, making it a target of interest in cancer research and therapeutic development.
By enabling the detection and analysis of phosphorylated Bcl2L1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying cell survival and apoptosis, offering potential opportunities for the development of targeted therapies for cancer and other apoptosis-related disorders. The Phospho-Bcl2L1 (S62) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0314) is a reliable tool for furthering our understanding of this important regulatory protein.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the BCL-2 protein family. BCL-2 family members form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular activities. The proteins encoded by this gene are located at the outer mitochondrial membrane, and have been shown to regulate outer mitochondrial membrane channel (VDAC) opening. VDAC regulates mitochondrial membrane potential, and thus controls the production of reactive oxygen species and release of cytochrome C by mitochondria, both of which are the potent inducers of cell apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms. The longer isoform acts as an apoptotic inhibitor and the shorter isoform acts as an apoptotic activator.
