The Phospho-ATF2 (T71) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CABP1051) is a highly specific antibody designed for research involving ATF2, a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in cellular responses to stress and growth factors. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is validated for use in various applications such as Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.Phosphorylation of ATF2 at threonine 71 is known to regulate its transcriptional activity and is involved in signaling pathways related to stress responses, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. This antibody specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of ATF2 at threonine 71, enabling precise detection and analysis of ATF2 activation in different cell types and experimental conditions.
The Phospho-ATF2 (T71) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the molecular mechanisms underlying stress responses, cell signaling, and gene regulation. By understanding the role of phosphorylated ATF2 in these processes, researchers can gain insights into various cellular functions and potentially develop targeted therapies for conditions where dysregulation of ATF2 activity is implicated.

This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. The encoded protein has been identified as a moonlighting protein based on its ability to perform mechanistically distinct functions This protein binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE), an octameric palindrome. It forms a homodimer or a heterodimer with c-Jun and stimulates CRE-dependent transcription. This protein is also a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that specifically acetylates histones H2B and H4 in vitro; thus it may represent a class of sequence-specific factors that activate transcription by direct effects on chromatin components. The encoded protein may also be involved in cell's DNA damage response independent of its role in transcriptional regulation. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene
