The Phospho-ATF2 (T71) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0020) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ATF2 protein and its phosphorylation at threonine 71. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is known for its high specificity and sensitivity in detecting phospho-ATF2 (T71) in human samples, making it a reliable choice for Western blot applications.ATF2 is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in cellular responses to stress and various stimuli, including UV radiation, oxidative stress, and inflammatory signals. Phosphorylation of ATF2 at T71 is known to regulate its transcriptional activity, impacting gene expression involved in cell growth, apoptosis, and proliferation.
Understanding the phosphorylation status of ATF2 at T71 is essential for unraveling its functions in different cellular processes and pathologies.Researchers investigating signaling pathways, cancer biology, and cellular stress responses will find the Phospho-ATF2 (T71) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0020) to be a valuable asset in their studies. Its ability to specifically detect phosphorylated ATF2 at T71 provides insights into the regulatory mechanisms governing ATF2 activity, opening new avenues for research in cancer therapeutics and targeted treatments.

This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. The encoded protein has been identified as a moonlighting protein based on its ability to perform mechanistically distinct functions This protein binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE), an octameric palindrome. It forms a homodimer or a heterodimer with c-Jun and stimulates CRE-dependent transcription. This protein is also a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that specifically acetylates histones H2B and H4 in vitro; thus it may represent a class of sequence-specific factors that activate transcription by direct effects on chromatin components. The encoded protein may also be involved in cell's DNA damage response independent of its role in transcriptional regulation. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene
