The PHKG1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15701) is a valuable tool for research involving PHKG1, a key regulatory subunit of the phosphorylase kinase enzyme complex. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to the PHKG1 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types.PHKG1 plays a critical role in cellular energy metabolism and glycogen breakdown, making it a crucial target for studies in metabolic disorders, diabetes, and glycogen storage diseases.
Understanding the function and regulation of PHKG1 can provide insights into these conditions and potential therapeutic targets for intervention.Investigating the role of PHKG1 with the use of this reliable polyclonal antibody can lead to advancements in the understanding of metabolic pathways and the development of targeted treatments for associated diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 245-350 of human PHKG1 (NP_006204.1).
This gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and encodes a protein with one protein kinase domain and two calmodulin-binding domains. This protein is the catalytic member of a 16 subunit protein kinase complex which contains equimolar ratios of 4 subunit types. The complex is a crucial glycogenolytic regulatory enzyme. This gene has two pseudogenes at chromosome 7q11.21 and one at chromosome 11p11.12. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
