The PGM1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13679) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PGM1, an enzyme involved in carbohydrate metabolism. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.PGM1 plays a crucial role in the breakdown of glucose and the production of energy in cells. Dysregulation of PGM1 has been linked to metabolic disorders and cancer, making it an important target for further investigation. By using the PGM1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze PGM1 levels in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into its function and potential therapeutic applications.
With its high reactivity towards human samples, the PGM1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for studying the role of PGM1 in health and disease. Whether exploring metabolic pathways or investigating potential treatment options, this antibody is a valuable addition to any research project focused on carbohydrate metabolism and related disorders.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-300 of human PGM1 (NP_002624.2).
The protein encoded by this gene is an isozyme of phosphoglucomutase (PGM) and belongs to the phosphohexose mutase family. There are several PGM isozymes, which are encoded by different genes and catalyze the transfer of phosphate between the 1 and 6 positions of glucose. In most cell types, this PGM isozyme is predominant, representing about 90% of total PGM activity. In red cells, PGM2 is a major isozyme. This gene is highly polymorphic. Mutations in this gene cause glycogen storage disease type 14. Alternativley spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.
