The PFKFB3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6945) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PFKFB3, a key regulator of glycolysis and cellular metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.PFKFB3 is a critical enzyme that plays a crucial role in regulating glucose metabolism, cell proliferation, and angiogenesis. Dysregulation of PFKFB3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders. By targeting PFKFB3, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and develop potential therapeutic strategies.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, the PFKFB3 Polyclonal Antibody enables precise detection and analysis of PFKFB3 expression levels in different cell types and tissues. This antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of cancer biology, metabolism, and drug discovery, providing key information for unraveling the complexities of cellular metabolism and its implications in disease progression.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of bifunctional proteins that are involved in both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a regulatory molecule that controls glycolysis in eukaryotes. The encoded protein has a 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase activity that catalyzes the synthesis of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate (F2,6BP), and a fructose-2,6-biphosphatase activity that catalyzes the degradation of F2,6BP. This protein is required for cell cycle progression and prevention of apoptosis. It functions as a regulator of cyclin-dependent kinase 1, linking glucose metabolism to cell proliferation and survival in tumor cells. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
