The Peroxiredoxin-3 (PRDX3) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21341) is specifically designed for research involving PRDX3, a critical antioxidant enzyme involved in regulating cellular redox balance. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the PRDX3 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it a valuable tool for research in oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, and disease pathology.PRDX3, a member of the peroxiredoxin family, plays a crucial role in protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining mitochondrial integrity.
Dysregulation of PRDX3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the functions and regulatory mechanisms of PRDX3 is essential for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction in these pathological conditions.Overall, the PRDX3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21341) offers researchers a reliable and sensitive tool for investigating the role of PRDX3 in health and disease, providing insights that may lead to the development of novel therapeutic interventions targeting oxidative stress-related disorders.

This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein with antioxidant function. The protein is similar to the C22 subunit of Salmonella typhimurium alkylhydroperoxide reductase, and it can rescue bacterial resistance to alkylhydroperoxide in E. coli that lack the C22 subunit. The human and mouse genes are highly conserved, and they map to the regions syntenic between mouse and human chromosomes. Sequence comparisons with recently cloned mammalian homologs suggest that these genes consist of a family that is responsible for the regulation of cellular proliferation, differentiation and antioxidant functions. This family member can protect cells from oxidative stress, and it can promote cell survival in prostate cancer. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 1, 3, 13 and 22.
