The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Rat CD45 Antibody (OX-1) is a valuable tool for immunology research, specifically designed to target the CD45 antigen in rat samples. CD45 is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immune cell signaling and activation, making it a key marker in immunological studies. This antibody is optimized for flow cytometry applications, offering high sensitivity and specificity in detecting CD45 expression in rat immune cells. Its PerCP-Cyanine5.5 conjugate provides bright and stable fluorescent signal, allowing for accurate and reliable quantification of CD45-positive cell populations.
By targeting CD45, researchers can investigate immune cell subpopulations, monitor immune responses, and study diseases such as autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancer. The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Rat CD45 Antibody (OX-1) is a valuable tool for unraveling the complexities of immune function and exploring potential therapeutic strategies in various disease settings.

Background:
CD45 is a 180-220 kD protein also known as leukocyte common antigen (LCA). It is a protein tyrosine phosphatase with multiple isoforms differing as a result of alternative splicing of the extracellular domain and glycosylation. CD45 is expressed on all hematopoietic cells except erythrocytes and platelets; isoform expression depends on cell type, activation state, and cell maturation. CD45 functions in signal transduction through T and B cell antigen receptors. CD45 has been shown to interact with various proteins including galectin-1, CD2, CD3, and CD4. The OX-1 antibody has been shown to partially inhibit NK cell-mediated lysis of syngeneic tumor cells in vitro.
