The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD33 Antibody (6C5) offered by AssayGenie is a premium research tool designed for investigating the CD33 protein, a cell surface marker commonly found on myeloid cells. This antibody, specifically developed for use in flow cytometry applications, provides high sensitivity and specificity for detecting and analyzing CD33 expression in human samples.CD33 is a transmembrane protein expressed on myeloid progenitor cells and mature myeloid cells, playing a crucial role in immune response regulation and cell differentiation. Its involvement in various hematological disorders, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), makes it a key target for research in oncology and hematology.
The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD33 Antibody (6C5) enables precise identification and characterization of CD33-expressing cell populations, facilitating detailed studies in areas such as immunophenotyping, cancer biomarker analysis, and drug development.By providing reliable and accurate results, this antibody empowers scientists and researchers to delve deeper into the function and significance of CD33 in health and disease. With its high-performance qualities and compatibility with flow cytometry platforms, the PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD33 Antibody (6C5) is an invaluable tool for advancing research in immunology, cancer biology, and therapeutic targeting of myeloid cell-associated diseases.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD33 is a 67 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as Siglec-3, gp67, and p67. It is a sialoadhesion immunoglobulin superfamily member expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells. CD33 is absent on normal platelets, lymphocytes, erythrocytes and hematopoietic stem cells. CD33 functions as a sialic acid-dependent cell adhesion molecule with carbohydrate/lectin binding activity.
