The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) featured on www.assaygenie.com is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CD14 protein, a critical molecule involved in the recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and the activation of immune responses. This monoclonal antibody is specifically designed for use with human samples, offering high reactivity and specificity in various experimental applications.CD14 is a key component of the innate immune system, predominantly expressed on monocytes and macrophages. Its role in detecting pathogens and initiating immune responses makes it a central player in infectious diseases, inflammation, and immune disorders. The PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) enables precise detection and quantification of CD14 in research settings, providing insights into its functions and dysregulation in diverse pathological conditions.
With its superior performance in flow cytometry and other immunoassays, this antibody facilitates detailed analysis of CD14 expression patterns and cellular interactions. By targeting CD14 with high specificity, researchers can unravel its involvement in various disease processes, paving the way for the development of targeted therapies and diagnostic tools. Dive into the realm of immune signaling and pathogen recognition with the PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) to uncover new insights into immune modulation and therapeutic interventions.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD14 is a 53-55 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein also known as LPS receptor. CD14 is expressed at high levels on monocytes and macrophages, and at lower levels on granulocytes. Some dendritic cell populations such as interfollicular dendritic cells, reticular dendritic cells, and Langerhans cells have also been reported to express CD14. As a high-affinity receptor for LPS, CD14 is involved in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens, and in the upregulation of adhesion molecules and expression of cytokines in monocytes and neutrophils.
