The PE GenieFluor 594 Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CD106, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in immune responses and inflammation modulation. This antibody, specifically designed for use with mouse samples, is produced to exacting standards for reliable results in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CD106, also known as vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1), plays a crucial role in mediating leukocyte adhesion and transmigration during inflammatory responses. Its expression is tightly regulated and serves as a key marker for endothelial cell activation, making it a vital target for investigations into conditions such as atherosclerosis, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
By utilizing the PE GenieFluor 594 Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody, researchers can accurately detect and quantify CD106 expression on endothelial cells and other relevant cell types, shedding light on the mechanisms underlying immune cell recruitment and vascular inflammation. This antibody provides a valuable tool for gaining insights into the pathophysiology of various diseases and identifying potential therapeutic targets for intervention.

Background:
CD106 is a 110 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked transmembrane protein, also known as VCAM-1 and INCAM-110. It is constitutively expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, myeloid progenitors, splenic dendritic cells, activated endothelial cells, as well as some lymphocytes. CD106 expression can be upregulated on endothelial cells by inflammatory cytokines. CD106 is involved in adhesion and acts as a counter-receptor for VLA-4 (α4/β1 integrin) and LPAM-1 (α4/β7 integrin).
