The PE-Cyanine7 Anti-Mouse CD41 Antibody (MWReg30) is a crucial tool for studying platelet biology and function in research settings. This antibody recognizes the CD41 antigen, also known as integrin alpha IIb, which is a well-established marker for identifying platelets in murine samples. By specifically binding to CD41, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of platelet populations in various experimental contexts. In platelet biology, CD41 is essential for platelet adhesion and aggregation, playing a central role in hemostasis and thrombosis. The PE-Cyanine7 Anti-Mouse CD41 Antibody provides researchers with a reliable method for investigating platelet activation, platelet-related disorders, and the role of platelets in different physiological and pathological processes.
Its compatibility with flow cytometry applications makes it a versatile tool for high-throughput analysis of platelet function and dynamics. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the PE-Cyanine7 Anti-Mouse CD41 Antibody is a valuable asset for studies focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying platelet physiology and pathology. By using this antibody, researchers can gain insights into platelet behavior in various disease states, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting platelet function.

Background:
CD41, also known as integrin α2b and GPIIb, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed by platelets and megakaryocytes. It was reported that CD41 is also expressed on hematopoietic progenitors. CD41 associates with CD61 (integrin β3) to form complexes that interact with fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and thrombin. CD41 is required for platelet adhesion and aggregation. Defect of CD41 leads to disorders of coagulation.
