The PE-Cyanine5 Anti-Mouse CD335 Antibody (29A1.4) is a vital tool for researchers studying natural killer (NK) cells and their activation mechanisms. This monoclonal antibody, specifically designed for use in flow cytometry applications, targets the CD335 antigen, also known as NKp46, a key marker for NK cell activity and function.NK cells are a crucial component of the innate immune system, responsible for recognizing and eliminating infected or abnormal cells in the body. The CD335 antigen plays a pivotal role in the activation and regulation of NK cells, making it a valuable target for understanding immune responses in various contexts, including viral infections, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.
The PE-Cyanine5 Anti-Mouse CD335 Antibody (29A1.4) is highly specific and reliable for detecting CD335 expression on mouse NK cells, enabling researchers to accurately analyze and characterize these important immune cells. Its use can provide valuable insights into the function and behavior of NK cells, contributing to a deeper understanding of immune responses and potentially leading to the development of novel immunotherapies.

Background:
CD335, also known as NKp46, is a single-pass type I membrane protein of 46 kD. It belongs to the natural cytotoxicity receptor (NCR) family and contains two Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domains. It's expression is restricted to NK cells and a subset of NKT cells; it's not expressed in CD1d-restricted NKT cells. CD335 is a receptor for viral hemagglutinins and heparan sulfate proteoglycans and is involved in NK cell activation.
