The PE-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD25 Antibody (BC96) from Assay Genie is an essential tool for researchers studying the CD25 protein, which is involved in immune regulation and is a marker of activated T cells. This antibody, specifically designed for use in flow cytometry applications, offers high reactivity and specificity for human CD25, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types. The CD25 protein, also known as interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain, plays a vital role in regulating T cell activation and proliferation in immune responses. Its expression on the cell surface is crucial for the function of regulatory T cells, which are essential for maintaining immune tolerance and preventing autoimmune diseases.
The precise targeting of CD25 by this antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool for investigating immune cell populations and their role in health and disease. With its validated performance in flow cytometry, the PE-Cyanine5.5 Anti-Human CD25 Antibody (BC96) is a valuable asset for studies in immunology, cancer research, and autoimmune disorders. By enabling the identification and characterization of CD25-expressing cells, this antibody facilitates in-depth analysis of immune responses and potential therapeutic targets. Harnessing the power of this antibody opens up new possibilities for understanding and manipulating immune function in various pathological conditions.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD25 is a 55 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as the low affinity IL-2 receptor α chain or Tac. It is expressed on progenitor lymphocytes, activated T and B cells, and activated monocytes/macrophages. CD25 is also expressed on a subset of non-stimulated CD4+ T cells termed T regulatory cells. CD25 associates with the IL-2 receptor β (CD122) and common γ chains (CD132) to form the high affinity IL-2R complex.
