The PE-Cyanine5.5 anti-human CD1a Antibody (OKT-6) offered by AssayGenie is a crucial tool for researchers studying the CD1a molecule, a key player in antigen presentation and immune response regulation. This antibody, specifically designed for use with human samples, is a reliable reagent for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. By targeting the CD1a protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD1a-expressing cells, facilitating investigations into immune system function, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory conditions.CD1a is a type of antigen-presenting molecule expressed on the surface of dendritic cells and thymocytes, playing a vital role in presenting lipid antigens to T cells and initiating immune responses.
Understanding the mechanisms by which CD1a interacts with other immune cells is essential for unraveling complex immune processes and developing therapeutic interventions for various diseases. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the PE-Cyanine5.5 anti-human CD1a Antibody (OKT-6) from AssayGenie provides researchers with a powerful tool to advance their studies in immunology, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases. Get accurate and reproducible results in your experiments with this validated antibody, paving the way for groundbreaking discoveries in the field of immunology.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD1a is a 49 kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily also known as T6 and R4. It is a type I membrane glycoprotein with structural similarities to MHC class I and is non-covalently associated with β2-microglobulin. CD1a plays a role in non-peptide glycolipid antigen presentation to CD1-restricted T cells. It is expressed on cortical double positive and single positive thymocytes, Langerhans cells, and dendritic cells. In addition to antigen presentation, CD1a has been implicated in thymic T cell development.
