The PE Anti-Rat CD45 Antibody (OX-1) is a vital tool for researchers investigating immunology and cell biology in rat models. This antibody, offered by AssayGenie, targets the CD45 protein, a key marker for identifying and studying different cell types within the immune system.CD45, also known as leukocyte common antigen, is a transmembrane protein found on all nucleated hematopoietic cells. It plays a crucial role in T-cell and B-cell antigen receptor signaling, as well as lymphocyte development. The OX-1 antibody specifically recognizes rat CD45 and is conjugated with phycoerythrin (PE), enabling easy detection and analysis by flow cytometry.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, the PE Anti-Rat CD45 Antibody (OX-1) from AssayGenie allows for precise identification and quantification of rat immune cells in various research applications. Whether studying immune responses, inflammation, or cell lineage determination in rats, this antibody provides reliable and accurate results, making it a valuable tool for immunologists, cell biologists, and researchers working with rat models.

Background:
CD45 is a 180-220 kD protein also known as leukocyte common antigen (LCA). It is a protein tyrosine phosphatase with multiple isoforms differing as a result of alternative splicing of the extracellular domain and glycosylation. CD45 is expressed on all hematopoietic cells except erythrocytes and platelets; isoform expression depends on cell type, activation state, and cell maturation. CD45 functions in signal transduction through T and B cell antigen receptors. CD45 has been shown to interact with various proteins including galectin-1, CD2, CD3, and CD4. The OX-1 antibody has been shown to partially inhibit NK cell-mediated lysis of syngeneic tumor cells in vitro.
