The PE Anti-Mouse CD45.1 Antibody (A20) offered by Assay Genie is a crucial tool for researchers studying immune cell populations in mouse models. CD45.1 is a common marker used to distinguish between different subsets of leukocytes, particularly T cells. This antibody specifically targets the CD45.1 protein, allowing for precise identification and characterization of CD45.1-expressing cells in various tissues and experimental conditions. With its bright phycoerythrin (PE) conjugation, this antibody provides strong and specific staining, making it ideal for flow cytometry analysis and cell sorting applications.
Its high reactivity with mouse samples ensures reliable and consistent results for researchers investigating immune responses, inflammation, and immunotherapy in preclinical studies.By utilizing the PE Anti-Mouse CD45.1 Antibody (A20), researchers can gain valuable insights into the dynamics of immune cell populations, immune activation, and immune cell interactions in mouse models of disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of immunology and developing novel strategies for treating immune-related disorders in a murine context.

Background:
CD45.1 is an alloantigen of CD45, expressed by Ly5.1 bearing mouse strains (e.g., RIII, SJL/J, STS/A, DA). CD45, a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, is a 180-240 kD glycoprotein expressed on all hematopoietic cells except mature erythrocytes and platelets. There are multiple isoforms in mice that play key roles in TCR and BCR signal transduction. These isoforms are very specific to the activation and maturation states of the cell as well as specific cell types. The primary ligands for CD45 are galectin-1, CD2, CD3, CD4, TCR, CD22, and Thy-1.
