The PDIA5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14389) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PDIA5, a protein involved in protein folding and quality control within the endoplasmic reticulum. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards PDIA5 in human samples, making it suitable for various research applications including Western blotting.PDIA5, also known as protein disulfide isomerase A5, plays a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by facilitating proper protein folding and assembly. Dysregulation of PDIA5 expression has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
Therefore, studying the function and regulation of PDIA5 is important for gaining insights into disease mechanisms and identifying potential therapeutic targets. With its high reactivity and reliability, the PDIA5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14389) provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating the role of PDIA5 in cellular processes and disease development. Its application in Western blot assays allows for precise detection and analysis of PDIA5 levels in different cell types and tissue samples, making it a versatile reagent for research in molecular biology, biochemistry, and drug discovery.

This gene encodes a member of the disulfide isomerase (PDI) family of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions. The encoded protein has an N-terminal ER-signal sequence, three catalytically active thioredoxin (TRX) domains, a TRX-like domain, and a C-terminal ER-retention sequence. The N-terminal TRX-like domain is the primary binding site for the major ER chaperone calreticulin and possibly other proteins and substrates as well. Alternative splicing results in multiple protein- and non-protein-coding transcript variants.
