Description
PDIA3 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT9E9AT] (CPAB0232)
The PDIA3 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0232) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PDIA3, a protein involved in protein folding and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to PDIA3, the antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this important protein in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in areas such as cell biology, protein folding, and ER stress response.PDIA3, also known as protein disulfide-isomerase A3, plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular protein homeostasis by facilitating the correct folding of newly synthesized proteins and assisting in the repair of misfolded proteins.
Dysregulation of PDIA3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. By studying PDIA3, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for intervention.

Background: | PDIA3 is an enzyme that belongs to the endoplasmic reticulum and interacts with lectin chaperones calreticulin and calnexin to modulate folding of newly synthesized glycoproteins. PDIA3 has protein disulfide isomerase activity. Complexes of lectins and PDIA3 mediate protein folding by promoting formation of disulfide bonds in their glycoprotein substrates. PDIA3 is expressed in the lumbar spinal cord from rats submitted to peripheral lesion during neonatal period. PDIA3 interacts with thiazide-sensitive sodium-chloride cotransporter in the kidney and is induced by glucose deprivation. PDIA3 is part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I peptide-loading complex (TAP1), which is important for formation of the final antigen conformation and export from the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell surface. |
