Description
Pdia2 Antibody (PACO28874)
The PDIA2 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO28874) is a valuable tool for research involving PDIA2, a protein associated with protein folding and cellular stress response. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to PDIA2 in human samples and is optimized for use in Western blotting applications. PDIA2, also known as protein disulfide isomerase A2, plays a critical role in ensuring proper protein folding and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum. Dysregulation of PDIA2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
By using the PDIA2 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and study PDIA2 levels in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential as a therapeutic target. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cell biology, protein folding, and disease mechanisms related to PDIA2 dysregulation.

UniProt Protein Details: | |
NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes the beta subunit of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a highly abundant multifunctional enzyme that belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. When present as a tetramer consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits, this enzyme is involved in hydroxylation of prolyl residues in preprocollagen. This enzyme is also a disulfide isomerase containing two thioredoxin domains that catalyze the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds. Other known functions include its ability to act as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins in a concentration-dependent manner, its ability to bind thyroid hormone, its role in both the influx and efflux of S-nitrosothiol-bound nitric oxide, and its function as a subunit of the microsomal triglyceride transfer protein complex.
