The PDE3A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17919) is a valuable tool for researchers studying phosphodiesterase 3A, an enzyme involved in regulating intracellular levels of cyclic nucleotides. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting PDE3A, researchers can investigate its role in various cellular processes such as cell signaling, metabolism, and gene expression.Phosphodiesterase 3A is known to play a crucial role in mediating cAMP and cGMP signaling pathways, making it a key player in regulating various physiological functions including cardiac function, smooth muscle contraction, and insulin secretion.
Dysfunction of PDE3A has been implicated in diseases such as heart failure, diabetes, and pulmonary hypertension, making it a promising therapeutic target for drug development. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the PDE3A Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers looking to deepen their understanding of PDE3A biology and its implications in various disease states. Its application in Western blotting allows for accurate detection and quantification of PDE3A protein levels in a wide range of cell types and tissues, making it an essential reagent for studies in pharmacology, cardiovascular biology, and metabolic disorders.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 380-660 of human PDE3A (NP_000912.3).
This gene encodes a member of the cGMP-inhibited cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (cGI-PDE) family. cGI-PDE enzymes hydrolyze both cAMP and cGMP, and play critical roles in many cellular processes by regulating the amplitude and duration of intracellular cyclic nucleotide signals. The encoded protein mediates platelet aggregation and also plays important roles in cardiovascular function by regulating vascular smooth muscle contraction and relaxation. Inhibitors of the encoded protein may be effective in treating congestive heart failure. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
