The Pax3 Polyclonal Antibody is a critical tool for researchers studying the Pax3 protein, a transcription factor essential for early embryonic development and muscle lineage determination. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the Pax3 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an invaluable asset for studies in developmental biology and muscle formation.
Pax3 is a key regulator of cell fate decisions during development, particularly in the formation of skeletal muscles and neural crest cells. The protein's role in tissue patterning and cell differentiation makes it a crucial target for investigation in fields such as regenerative medicine, muscle disorders, and developmental biology. Understanding the function and regulation of Pax3 is essential for developing therapeutic approaches to address conditions related to muscle development and regeneration.

This gene is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. Members of the PAX family typically contain a paired box domain and a paired-type homeodomain. These genes play critical roles during fetal development. Mutations in paired box gene 3 are associated with Waardenburg syndrome, craniofacial-deafness-hand syndrome, and alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. The translocation t(2;13)(q35;q14), which represents a fusion between PAX3 and the forkhead gene, is a frequent finding in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Alternative splicing results in transcripts encoding isoforms with different C-termini.
