The PARP4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16749) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the PARP4 protein, a member of the poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) family involved in DNA repair and genomic stability. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PARP4 plays a crucial role in DNA damage response and is implicated in various cellular processes such as DNA repair, transcriptional regulation, and cell death. Dysregulation of PARP4 has been linked to cancer development and progression, making it a potential target for cancer therapy and personalized medicine.
By using the PARP4 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can study the expression and function of PARP4 in different cell types and tissues, providing insights into its role in DNA repair mechanisms and its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in molecular biology, oncology, and drug discovery, and can contribute to the development of novel treatment strategies for cancer patients.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-300 of human PARP4 (NP_006428.2).
This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 1 protein, which is capable of catalyzing a poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. This protein has a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. Since this protein is not capable of binding DNA directly, its transferase activity may be activated by other factors such as protein-protein interaction mediated by the extensive carboxyl terminus.
