The PARP2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16475) is a valuable tool for researchers studying poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 2 (PARP2), a protein involved in DNA repair and genomic stability. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.PARP2 plays a crucial role in the repair of DNA damage, making it an essential target for studies related to cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and other conditions linked to genomic instability. By detecting and analyzing PARP2 expression levels in various cell types, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying DNA repair processes and the potential implications for disease development.
The PARP2 Polyclonal Antibody offers a reliable method for investigating the function and regulation of PARP2 in research areas such as oncology, neurobiology, and genomics. Its specificity and sensitivity make it an invaluable tool for elucidating the roles of PARP2 in cellular processes and identifying potential therapeutic targets for diseases characterized by DNA damage and repair abnormalities.

Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 450-550 of human PARP2 (NP_001036083.1).
This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 2 protein, which contains a catalytic domain and is capable of catalyzing a poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. This protein has a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. The basic residues within the N-terminal region of this protein may bear potential DNA-binding properties, and may be involved in the nuclear and/or nucleolar targeting of the protein. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found.
