The Pak5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15872) is a vital tool for researchers studying Pak5, a protein kinase implicated in multiple cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and is validated for use in Western blotting applications. It binds specifically to Pak5, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable asset for investigations in cell biology and cancer research.Pak5, a member of the p21-activated kinase (PAK) family, plays a crucial role in regulating cell morphology, motility, and cytoskeletal organization.
Dysregulation of Pak5 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. By studying Pak5 and its signaling pathways, researchers can gain insights into disease mechanisms and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention. The Pak5 Polyclonal Antibody is essential for investigating the functions and interactions of Pak5 in different cellular contexts, providing valuable information for advancing our understanding of cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its specificity and reliability make it an indispensable tool for researchers aiming to unravel the complexities of Pak5 biology.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PAK family of Ser/Thr protein kinases. PAK family members are known to be effectors of Rac/Cdc42 GTPases, which have been implicated in the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics, proliferation, and cell survival signaling. This kinase contains a CDC42/Rac1 interactive binding (CRIB) motif, and has been shown to bind CDC42 in the presence of GTP. This kinase is predominantly expressed in brain. It is capable of promoting neurite outgrowth, and thus may play a role in neurite development. This kinase is associated with microtubule networks and induces microtubule stabilization. The subcellular localization of this kinase is tightly regulated during cell cycle progression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
