The PACS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12659) is a vital tool for researchers studying the protein PACS1, which is involved in intracellular protein trafficking and sorting. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the PACS1 protein, researchers can easily detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for investigations in cell biology and molecular biology.
PACS1 plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking pathways, particularly in the sorting of proteins to their correct destinations within the cell. Dysregulation of PACS1 has been implicated in various diseases, including developmental disorders and neurological conditions. Studying the function of PACS1 using this antibody can provide valuable insights into its role in health and disease, potentially leading to the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 420-560 of human PACS1 (NP_060496.2).
This gene encodes a protein with a putative role in the localization of trans-Golgi network (TGN) membrane proteins. Mouse and rat homologs have been identified and studies of the homologous rat protein indicate a role in directing TGN localization of furin by binding to the protease's phosphorylated cytosolic domain. In addition, the human protein plays a role in HIV-1 Nef-mediated downregulation of cell surface MHC-I molecules to the TGN, thereby enabling HIV-1 to escape immune surveillance.
