The OTX2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14036) is a valuable tool for research involving OTX2, a transcription factor critical for the development of the brain, eyes, and sensory organs. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.OTX2 plays a key role in embryonic development and is involved in the differentiation and function of neuronal cells. Dysregulation of OTX2 expression has been linked to various neurological disorders, including medulloblastoma and retinoblastoma.
Therefore, studying the expression and activity of OTX2 is essential for understanding its role in normal development and disease progression. With its high reactivity and specificity to OTX2, the CAB14036 antibody is an excellent tool for researchers studying neurodevelopmental disorders, brain development, and cancer biology. By enabling the detection and analysis of OTX2 in various tissues and cell types, this antibody facilitates research aimed at elucidating the function and mechanisms of OTX2 in health and disease.

This gene encodes a member of the bicoid subfamily of homeodomain-containing transcription factors. The encoded protein acts as a transcription factor and plays a role in brain, craniofacial, and sensory organ development. The encoded protein also influences the proliferation and differentiation of dopaminergic neuronal progenitor cells during mitosis. Mutations in this gene cause syndromic microphthalmia 5 (MCOPS5) and combined pituitary hormone deficiency 6 (CPHD6). This gene is also suspected of having an oncogenic role in medulloblastoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Pseudogenes of this gene are known to exist on chromosomes two and nine.
