The OT (Oxytocin) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise quantification of oxytocin levels in human serum, plasma, and tissue culture supernatants. This kit offers exceptional sensitivity and accuracy, guaranteeing consistent and dependable results, which makes it perfect for various research purposes.Oxytocin is a critical hormone involved in social bonding, maternal behavior, and stress regulation. It plays a vital role in various physiological processes, including childbirth, lactation, and emotional responses.
Oxytocin has also been implicated in mental health disorders, autism, and bonding behaviors, making it a valuable biomarker for investigating these conditions and exploring potential treatments. To learn more about the OT (Oxytocin) ELISA Kit, please visit: www.assaygenie.com/ot-oxytocin-elisa-kit-unes00019/

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with OT. During the reaction, OT in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of OT on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to OT. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of OT in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
