The OCRL Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying OCRL, a protein involved in cellular processes such as membrane trafficking and signaling. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the OCRL protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze OCRL expression in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology, biochemistry, and related fields.
OCRL, also known as Oculocerebrorenal syndrome of Lowe protein, plays a crucial role in regulating membrane dynamics and intracellular signaling pathways. Dysregulation of OCRL has been implicated in various diseases, including Lowe syndrome and Dent-2 disease. By studying the function and expression of OCRL using this polyclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for treating them.
Product Name:
OCRL Polyclonal Antibody

CAB21519
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-220 of human OCRL (NP_001578.2).
This gene encodes an inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase. This protein is involved in regulating membrane trafficking and is located in numerous subcellular locations including the trans-Golgi network, clathrin-coated vesicles and, endosomes and the plasma membrane. This protein may also play a role in primary cilium formation. Mutations in this gene cause oculocerebrorenal syndrome of Lowe and also Dent disease. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
