The NUP85 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11629) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the nuclear pore complex and nucleocytoplasmic transport. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to NUP85 protein and suitable for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications. The NUP85 protein is an essential component of the nuclear pore complex, which regulates the transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Dysfunction of this complex has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
By targeting NUP85, researchers can further explore the mechanisms underlying nucleocytoplasmic transport and its role in health and disease. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the NUP85 Polyclonal Antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers looking to elucidate the function of the nuclear pore complex and its implications in various cellular processes. Unlocking the mysteries of nucleocytoplasmic transport has the potential to shed light on new therapeutic targets and treatment strategies for a range of diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 427-656 of human NUP85 (NP_079120.1).
This gene encodes a protein component of the Nup107-160 subunit of the nuclear pore complex. Nuclear pore complexes are embedded in the nuclear envelope and promote bidirectional transport of macromolecules between the cytoplasm and nucleus. The encoded protein can also bind to the C-terminus of chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2 (CCR2) and promote chemotaxis of monocytes, thereby participating in the inflammatory response. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
