The Neurotrophin-4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1081) is a valuable tool for researchers studying neurotrophin-4, a protein that belongs to the neurotrophin family and plays a crucial role in the development and function of the nervous system. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Neurotrophin-4 is known for its neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties, making it a key player in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. By targeting neurotrophin-4 with this antibody, researchers can study its expression and localization in different cell types and tissues, shedding light on its role in neurodevelopment, neurodegenerative disorders, and neurological diseases.
With its high reactivity and specificity for human samples, the Neurotrophin-4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1081) is a reliable tool for investigating the functions and mechanisms of neurotrophin-4 in both normal and pathological conditions. Its applications in neuroscience and neurobiology make it an essential reagent for researchers aiming to unravel the complexities of the nervous system and develop targeted therapies for neurologic disorders.

This gene is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors, neurotrophins, that control survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. The expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. While knock-outs of other neurotrophins including nerve growth factor, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and neurotrophin 3 prove lethal during early postnatal development, NTF5-deficient mice only show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood.
