Description
NT 4 Monoclonal Antibody [NYRhNT-4] (CPAB0028)
The NT-4 Antibody (CPAB0028) is a comprehensive tool for researchers studying the neurotrophin-4 (NT-4) protein, a member of the neurotrophin family that plays a crucial role in the development and function of the nervous system. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, is specifically designed for use in Western blot applications and has been validated for its reactivity with human samples.NT-4 is involved in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity, making it a key player in neurogenesis and neurodevelopment. By targeting the NT-4 protein, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and depression.
Understanding the role of NT-4 in these conditions may lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies to treat or prevent neurodegenerative diseases. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the NT-4 Antibody (CPAB0028) is a valuable tool for investigating the function of NT-4 in both normal and pathological conditions. Researchers in the fields of neuroscience, neurology, and pharmacology will appreciate the reliable performance and consistent results provided by this antibody in their studies.

Background: | This gene is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors, neurotrophins that control survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. The expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. While knock-outs of other neurotrophins including nerve growth factor, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and neurotrophin 3 prove lethal during early postnatal development, NTF5-deficient mice only show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood. |
Synonyms: | Neurotrophin-5, NT-5, Neutrophic factor 5, Neurotrophin-4, NT-4, Neutrophic factor 4, NT4, NT5, NTF4, NT-4/5, NTF5. |
Storage Buffer: | In lyophilized form, for long periods, store at 4°C in a dry environment. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20°C. |
