The NROB2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16454) is a valuable tool for researchers studying NROB2, a transcriptional regulator involved in various biological processes, including metabolism and development. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity when used with human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications. NROB2, also known as DAX-1, plays a critical role in hormone signaling pathways and has been linked to diseases such as adrenal hypoplasia congenita and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
Understanding the function of NROB2 is essential for unraveling its role in these conditions and potentially developing targeted therapies. By using the NROB2 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the expression and regulation of NROB2 in various cell types, providing valuable information for studies in endocrinology, developmental biology, and disease pathology. This antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the intricate functions of NROB2 and its implications in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is an unusual orphan receptor that contains a putative ligand-binding domain but lacks a conventional DNA-binding domain. The gene product is a member of the nuclear hormone receptor family, a group of transcription factors regulated by small hydrophobic hormones, a subset of which do not have known ligands and are referred to as orphan nuclear receptors. The protein has been shown to interact with retinoid and thyroid hormone receptors, inhibiting their ligand-dependent transcriptional activation. In addition, interaction with estrogen receptors has been demonstrated, leading to inhibition of function. Studies suggest that the protein represses nuclear hormone receptor-mediated transactivation via two separate steps: competition with coactivators and the direct effects of its transcriptional repressor function.
